OA Calendar

Upcoming OA seasons: July to December

Understand the rhythm of the placement wave. Below is a quick roadmap for which types of companies are most active each month and what you should focus on.

07 • July

Warm-up + early shortlist wave

Resume shortlists and intern/new-grad coding screens start picking up.

  • Revise coding problem sets for Amazon, Microsoft, and Google
  • Speed up arrays, strings, hashing, and binary search
  • Start mock OAs with a timer
08 • August

Mass hiring season picks up

This is the heavy activity zone for companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Cognizant.

  • Daily aptitude and verbal practice is mandatory
  • Have email writing and essay format ready
  • Understand 2 easy-medium coding patterns rather than memorizing them
09 • September

Campus OA peak month

Accenture, GenC Next, InfyTQ, plus product intern waves overlap here.

  • A morning aptitude + evening DSA split works well
  • Revise SQL, OOP, and DBMS short notes
  • Bring discipline to sectional timing
10 • October

Mixed season: service + product

Service drives continue and some strong product OAs arrive too.

  • Polish sliding window, trees, graphs, and heaps
  • Add the Amazon LP and Microsoft clean-coding mindset
  • Do a full mock assessment on the weekend
11 • November

Selective hiring + startup spikes

Roles at Flipkart, PhonePe, and Razorpay see higher machine coding and LLD expectations.

  • Practice OOP design and class modeling
  • Look at machine coding prompts like payment, cart, and inventory systems
  • Revise SQL joins, indexing, and idempotency basics
12 • December

Retests + late off-campus pushes

Fewer roles arrive at year-end, but a prepared candidate still has an edge.

  • Run a revision sprint for weak areas
  • Solve at least one OA block daily to avoid a cold start
  • Polish your resume, GitHub, and projects and keep them ready
